The Jennings Univox J6 in its later form - the 1960s

The principal hallmarks of later Univox J6s are: split-front design, brown diamond grille cloth above a plain lower panel; new-style plastic handles; and a compartment in the cabinet lid for the cables. Faux croc vinyl covering lasts almost to the end of the run. The very latest J6 cabinets were covered in black basketweave however. Now and again in 1963 one finds plain black vinyl.
