An early Vox AC10 split front cabinet

Serial number 3433 - early to mid 1961

A gorgeous little single speaker AC10 from mid 1960 - split front cabinet; short leather carrying handle with end clasps; and serial number plate of the type seen on AC30/6 serial number 4680; AC30/4 serial numbers 4800 and 4813; and AC15 serial numbers 4376, 4452, 4482, and 4510.

The chassis was assembled for JMI by Westrex; Albion transformers; and in the preamp, white Erie resistors and black Tropydur WIMA capacitors. The latter have date codes "30", "70", and "100", respectively March, July and October for their manufacture in Germany.

Serial number 3460 is a two-input "Throwback" AC10; serial number 3496 is an early copper panel amp.

Note the original WIMA Tropydur with date code "100" = October 1960 for its manufacture in Germany.

Serial number plate moved over to the left (perhaps to cover a hole). The white warning plaque is a later addition.
