Vox AC30/4 serial number 4447N

Below, details of AC30/4 serial number 4447N, probably ready for sale in the Spring of 1961. The latest visible component date codes in the amp are from March 1961

The condition of the amp is more or less the same as it was in 1978, when purchased by its present owner. The original black WIMA Tropydur capacitors were evidently replaced (with Mullard mustards) in late 1964 or 1965, perhaps by JMI or one of its subcontractors. Thanks to Richard for the pictures.

A switch for the tremolo added between the two sets of input jacks. AC30 chassis at this point were normally drilled for six jacks, the AC30/4 panel covering the middle two (which were required for the assembly of an AC30/6) .
