Vox Domino Super Reverb Twin serial number 2506
Last quarter of 1964.
Detail of the serial number plate.
Thanks to James, a set of pictures of Vox Domino Super Reverb Twin serial number 2506, its chassis assembled under contract by Westrex (in North London) for JMI in the last quarter of 1964. The latest dateable components are the main preamp filter capacitor and cement resistor beside it both with "VJ" = September 1964.
That the checker at Westrex thought the amp was an "A/C 15" is perhaps forgiveable - Domino Super Reverbs would indeed put out 15 watts with relative ease.
Westrex inspection tag.
The single spring reverb tank of this amp is mounted on the valve side of the chassis rather than on the tag-board side.
Speakers are 10" Elacs - presumably 10N/85s, 10-12 watts handling, 15-16 ohms impedance apiece - wired in parallel for a total of 8 ohms. Their frames are stamped with the code "12461"; cones are Pulsonics (43/434/001).
